Harbor East is designed to protect data. Unlike other facilities, which aggregate their customers through the use of hubs, Harbor East houses every client on a dedicated Ethernet segment, eliminating the risk of clients sniffing each other's traffic within the facility.

Harbor East is serviced by a world-class power system. It's constantly monitored by an automatic transfer system, which draws power from the most reliable source. Whether running off the utility power provided by the city through underground conduits, the two-hour battery backup system that provides eight times the industry standard power duration, or the 1250 kVA diesel generator, the system delivers the highest quality, most reliable power.

To reduce the risk of fire, Harbor East maintains the FM-200 system, the recognized leader in fire suppression. Using the gas heptaflourapropane, the environmentally-friendly substitute for halon, FM-200 extinguishes fire by cooling it and creating a protective "shell" on surrounding equipment to prevent flame propagation.
